Welcome to the Cranfield Management Association’s interactive website, CMAWorld. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By registering with us and using CMAWorld you are deemed to have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Cranfield Management Association (CMA) may modify these terms and conditions at any time and may discontinue any or all of its online services. Your continued use of the services, after online notice of modifications, signifies your agreement to be bound by the modifications. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, please exit CMAWorld.
Rules for Online Conduct
Only CMA full members and School of Management graduate alumni have access to the interactive, secure areas of this site. You agree that you will not post any of the following content anywhere on the site:
- Illegal, offensive, abusive, obscene, indecent, threatening or defamatory statements
- Statements that are bigoted, hateful or racially offensive
- Statements or material that contain vulgar or obscene language or images
- Copyrighted breach of confidence, intellectual property rights or the privacy rights of any third party anywhere in the World. (In the event that you receive any Prohibited Material, you must immediately notify us so that appropriate steps can be taken)
- Transmit any unsolicited advertising or other promotional material
- Send unsolicited chain emails (Spam) or targeted emails for any reason
- Share and/or sell Mailing lists generated on the CMA Alumni Directory
Forums are offered to foster communication between fellow alumni. Forums are not routinely monitored and contain the personal opinions and other expressions of Users who post to them. If you feel you might be offended by the content of the Forums, you should not access them. In addition, you agree that the site may include the views, recommendations and opinions of individuals, but that the CMA does not review or endorse these views, opinions or recommendations. Although the CMA does not routinely screen or monitor content, the CMA reserves the right to remove content which violates the above rules.
By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree to respect fellow users and not abuse the privilege of having access to CMAWorld. If complaints about your behaviour are received, you will receive a written and/or verbal warning. If your behaviour continues, your access will be suspended and/or terminated.
Cranfield Management Association’s Obligations
The CMA’s obligations under these terms and conditions are:
- To use our best efforts to provide a high standard of connectivity to CMAWorld
- To provide full instructions on how to connect and use CMAWorld and provide a helpdesk service which will be available from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Friday
- To treat with care and confidence any personal information you may supply to us in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Security
You must not yourself, or encourage others or permit any other person to:
- Create, insert or knowingly or recklessly transmit any virus on CMAWorld
- Hack into or attempt to hack into any section of CMAWorld
- Breach, by whatever means, any of the security safeguards of CMAWorld
You must ensure that your log-in and password are kept confidential and are stored in such a way that they cannot be obtained by a third party. You must inform us immediately on becoming aware that your security details have become known by a third party.
You must not attempt to access or use the password of any other user.
Links to other Sites
CMAWorld may contain hyperlinks to websites controlled by others. The CMA is not responsible for and does not routinely screen, approve, review or endorse the contents of any of these products or services that may be offered.
Liability and Warranty
Use of the CMAWorld site, and any information obtained from the service or links to it, is entirely at the users risk. The CMA does not warrant, and hereby disclaims any warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties or accuracy, completeness, noninfringement, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of any information, products or services obtained from the service or a link to it. The CMA does not warrant that the service will operate in an uninterrupted or error-free manner or that the service is free of viruses or other harmful components.
You agree that neither the CMA, nor its agents, affiliates, licensees, or third party content or service providers, will be liable to you for any loss or damages, either actual or consequential, including personal injury or death, arising out of or relating to these terms, your (or any third party's) use or inability to use the service, or to your placement of content on the service, or to your reliance upon information obtained from or through the service. In particular, neither the CMA, nor its agents, affiliates, licensees or third party content or service providers, will have liability for any consequential, indirect, punitive, special or incidental damages, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable (including, but not limited to claims for defamation, errors, loss of data, or interruption in availability of data), arising out of or relating to these terms, your use or inability to use the service, or to your placement of content on the service, or to your reliance upon information obtained from or through the service, whether based in contract, tort, statutory or other law.
Brand Name
The logo, name and graphics on CMAWorld are trademarks of the CMA. Use, reproduction, copying or redistribution of these trademarks, without the written permission of the CMA is prohibited.
Variation of Content
The CMA reserves the right at any time and without notice to change, vary, add or remove any of the content supplied in connection with CMAWorld whether such material originated from us, or from you.
Termination of Service
You may terminate your account by emailing cma@cranfield.ac.uk The CMA may terminate your account, your access rights to CMAWorld, or the entire service, with or without notice and at its sole discretion.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law.
