The Cranfield Management Association (CMA) is committed to the privacy of every individual who visits our website and takes its responsibilities regarding the security of alumni information very seriously. To that end the CMA has established this Privacy Policy to protect each visitor's privacy. This Policy explains how we use information gathered from our website and how we protect that information.
1. Use of alumni information
The CMA will only collect Personal Information (information which personally identifies you) if you provide it to us voluntarily. You are in control of how the CMA uses the information you provide:

- View your Personal Information via the web or ask us to see a copy of your Personal Information
All information is securely held and treated confidentially and with sensitivity for the benefit of the alumni, Cranfield School of Management and Cranfield University.
Alumni information is used to enable the CMA to provide alumni and membership services. The CMA collects the information provided by you, together with information we learn about you from your use of our services and your visits to our website.
We will use your information to provide and personalise our services. Your information, with the expressed agreement of the CMA, is available to our schools, faculties, academics and administrative departments, recognised international alumni communities, societies, sports and other clubs associated with the University and to agents contracted by the CMA or the University for particular alumni related projects. Your contact information is included in the publication of the CMA Alumni Directory (hard copy and online).
We will also use your contact details to communicate with you. We may use your information to send you news, invitations to events and details about the CMA and School of Management programmes, products and services or those of other carefully selected companies which we think may be of interest to you. We may contact you by post, email, telephone or fax for these purposes. You have the possibility at all times to tell us that you no longer wish to be contacted in such a way. All e-communications you receive from the CMA will provide clear instructions on how to unsubscribe from each service.
Once you have logged into CMAWorld (www.cmaworld.org) you can access Update my Profile which will allow you to tailor your communications to your preferences and determine which contact details you wish to share with other CMA members.
We like to hear your feedback to help us improve our services. We may contact you by post, email, telephone or fax to ask your opinions.
2. Site tracking
We use tracking software to monitor traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site to better meet the needs of visitors to CMAWorld.
3. Security to protect your information
As required by the UK Data protection Acts of 1984 and 1998 we follow strict procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures mean that we may request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.
In the circumstances set out in this policy where the CMA passes your information to a third party for example our mailing house, we will ensure that the security measures that such party has in place in relation to the processing of your data are at least as stringent as those employed by the CMA.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computers hard drive. They enable the CMA to provide features such as remembering your login information so that you can automatically log in when returning to our site. Cookies can be deleted from your hard drive if you wish. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change your browser settings to prevent that. Our use of cookies is restricted to storing encrypted login information. When logout is requested the cookie is automatically deleted from your hard drive.
5. Use of pixels
We do not use pixels in any way.
6. Links to third party websites
For your convenience and information CMAWorld provides links to other websites. The CMA would like to make you aware that these sites may have different security and privacy policies and that we have no control over and take no responsibility for any information contained in these sites.
7. Your consent
In accessing CMAWorld, you consent to the collection and use of this information by the CMA in the ways described above. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy we will post these changes on this page at least 30 days prior to their implementation. Your continued use of the website after the effective date of any changes will constitute your acceptance of all the changes.
