The CMA has created a new service for CMA members to help keep their management and business education up-to-date by keeping abreast of the latest thinking on finance, governance, logistics, marketing, social responsibility, strategy and other board room issues.

Each month, in partnership with EDGEvantage, BusinessEDGE will bring you the latest news and views on public policy debates and the regulatory environment for businesses and capital markets in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

EDGEvantage is run by Donald Nordberg, an MBA and business school lecturer. Donald set up EDGEvantage in 1999; prior to this he was for many years a top editorial executive at Reuters working in the UK, US and continental Europe. His freelance writing on business theory and practice has appeared in The Economist, the International Herald Tribune and numerous magazines on both sides of the Atlantic.

CMA members will also have free access via BusinessEDGE to The Board Agenda, a subscription based knowledge bank, professionally managed by EDGEvantage. This provides concise news and incisive views in plain English challenging conventional wisdom. Updated continually throughout the month, it provides links to the source documents so our alumni can decide for themselves.

We ask the questions that board chairmen, non-executive directors, corporate secretaries, heads of planning, communications and investor relations need to have answered - corporate governance, disclosure and relations with capital markets. And strategy, because there’s more to business than compliance. What a corporation does, what it stands for, how it governs itself, and how it responds to its constituencies – investors, analysts and the broader financial markets, regulators and pressure groups. This is the ‘stuff’ of the BusinessEDGE and The Board Agenda.

BusinessEDGE is free of charge to CMA members. Annual subscription rates for The Board Agenda are normally £180 ($330 or 270 euros).
