Career Redirection

As the recession deepens, ever-increasing numbers of people are finding themselves seeking a different career, either by choice or necessity. The problems we face go far beyond individuals and businesses – indeed, entire industries are having to rethink the way they will shape their workforce to emerge intact from the recession.

Partnering with Martin Goodwill (EMBA 1992) of Profiles International, the world's leading provider of online assessments, the CMA is making Transition Coach available to CMA members at a highly preferential rate.

Profiles Transition Coach looks at the soft skills that form the core of an individual and compares them with the soft skill requirement for the 300 most popular careers on the world's most comprehensive career database, O Net.

The end result is a report that provides two lists of career options requiring either advanced or basic training. These career options are ranked, based on the percentage match of the respondent to each career. In addition, there is a comprehensive list of sources of career advice to enable respondents to further their research.

Assessments are traditionally used by organisations to recruit and develop their people.
