David Thompson is passionate about Cranfield University. As a graduate of the very
first MBA cohort in 1969, he has been a committed alumnus for the past 40 years, giving his time and expertise in countless activities.
From organising reunions for his year group to setting up scholarships for international students, David Thompson is an excellent example of the mutual benefits of alumni engaging with their university.
A former headhunter, David began his long involvement with the University by networking for the purposes of his recruitment business. His links soon inspired him to become involved with the School of Management alumni association, the CMA, and he became a board member in the 1980s, taking on the job of representative, firstly for his own year, then for the years 1964-1969.
