School Of Management Big leap up the global ladder for Cranfield in 2010 Financial Times Full–Time MBA ranking 25/01/2010
In the 2010 Global MBA Rankings published today in the Financial Times, our Cranfield Full-Time MBA has leapt by nine places to 26th in the world. The School is now 12th in Europe and 5th in the UK. Frank Horwitz

Commenting on the news, Director of School, Professor Frank Horwitz said: “I am delighted with this wonderful result. Not only does this strengthen Cranfield’s position as one of Europe’s pre-eminent management schools, it also confirms our status as one of the leading schools in the world. This reflects the commitment and hard work of all those involved in the MBA programme, including our outstanding faculty and support staff and of course the exceptionally high calibre of our students and alumni.”

According to Séan Rickard, Director of the Full-time MBA programme: “This is the highest rank that Cranfield has ever achieved for the Full-Time programme in the Financial Times survey and is evidence of the improvement that we continue to make.”

David Simmons, Deputy Director of the MBA, added: “We are particularly pleased with the areas in which the School excelled: value for money, aims achieved, career progress and employment, all of which we consider of high importance to our MBA students.”

The Cranfield MBA is particularly highly ranked in the following categories:
Value for money: 9th in the world and 3rd in Europe
Career progress: 10th in the world and 5th in Europe
Aims achieved: 21st in the world

For the second year running our Economics teaching has been ranked in the top 3 in the world. Professor Joe Nellis comments: “We are delighted to be ranked 2nd in the world. The fact that Economics teaching ranking is based on the views of our alumni makes it even more significant and reflects the importance of ensuring that the student experience at Cranfield is of the highest quality.”

Today’s result follows our strengthened position in a range of recent influential MBA rankings including: 3rd in the world in the Wall Street Journal for our one-year MBA programme, in the top ten non-US business schools in Forbes, and 18th in the world in the Economist. We have also made significant progress in the Financial Times Executive MBA rankings (from 48 to 33).
